Hello! Thank you for commenting on my profile and greetings from Russia.

Allow me to ask you some questions. Could you tell me about what currently happens with these remains of Henrichshütte? I have seen photos dated 2010 and there are Ferris wheel and some kind of park around blast furnaces. Is this place opened for public now?

I plan to visit Ruhrgebiet this spring and Thyssen-Meiderich, Henrichshütte and Phoenix-west Hütte are the most priority objects to visit for me.

Thank you for your attention. Kind regards, Sergey
Greetings from Germany.

You asked me about Henrichshütte.
I can tell you that it is still open for public. In addition, there are permanent exhibitions as well as special exhibitions.
However, the demonstration sites (don't know if that is the right word in english), such as a working foundry, are closed from November till March.

Hope I could help.
If you have further questions, I will try to answer them.

Greetings again, Julia.
Thank you very much for your reply! I'm glad that Henrichshütte is open for public, especially taking in view situation with some similar sites (like Vitkovice ironworks in Czech republic, for example) which open season for touristic visits only since the begining of May. Ruhrgebiet is (post-) industrial paradise in any season;)

Thank you very much for helping me. Kind regards, Sergey
